How this payroll calculation works
Basic salary is prorated by paid days divided by period days. Set the period-day basis to match your employer’s policy; the tool does not infer weekends, holidays, joining dates or leave entitlement. Other earnings and deductions can be fixed, prorated or percentage-based. Percentage earnings use earned basic salary; percentage deductions can use earned basic or gross earnings, including overtime and bonuses.
Amounts are rounded to the nearest paise for each line, with half a paise rounded up. Gross and deduction totals are the sum of those rounded lines, so the preview and exported payslip agree. Blank optional amounts are omitted. Negative net pay and invalid inputs block export.
Review manual PF, ESI, professional tax and TDS with the person responsible for payroll. No tax filings, bank transfers, employer contributions or statutory compliance calculations are performed. The PDF is a salary-slip format for an employer to check and issue for actual pay; downloading it does not record a payment.
Everything is calculated on this device. Draft storage starts only when you choose it, and this page loads no ads. Need to lay out amounts you already calculated? Use the salary-slip generator. For an employee’s departure, draft a resignation letter.
Employer-supplied rules only; statutory PF, ESI, professional tax and TDS are not calculated automatically. INR amounts round per line to paise. All entries and PDFs stay in your browser; draft saving is opt-in.
