Why Kernel Split
- No sign-up, no limits, no ads. Add as many expenses as you like.
- Every way to split: equally, exact amounts, percentages, shares, or an adjustment for someone who had more.
- Any currency: each group keeps its balances in its own currency (suggested from your country), and single expenses can be in another currency at the rate you paid.
- Fewest payments: debts are simplified so the group settles with as few transfers as possible.
- Private links, real names: each person has their own link, so every expense shows who added it. An admin can cancel a lost link and issue a new one.
- End-to-end encrypted: names, amounts and notes are encrypted in your browser with a key that only travels inside your group’s links, so only people with a link can read them, not even us.
Group details (names, expenses and who paid) are stored on our server encrypted, so everyone in the group can see them and we can’t. Anyone with a member's link can act as that member, so share each link only with its owner. Groups nobody opens or changes for 12 months are deleted. See the privacy policy.
