QR code generator
Make a QR code for a link, Wi-Fi network, contact or message, or read one from a picture. Codes are made in your browser, with no sign-up and no tracking.
Size, colors and error correction
25 × 25 modules · 23 bytes. Test the code with your phone before you print it.
Do these QR codes expire?
No. The link or text is stored in the pattern itself, so the code keeps working for as long as what it points to exists. Nothing passes through this site when it is scanned, which also means scans are not counted and the contents cannot be changed after printing.
What can a code contain?
- Link
- Opens a web page. An address typed without https:// has it added, so phones treat it as a link.
- Wi-Fi
- Lets a phone join a network without typing the password. Works with the camera on current iPhone and Android phones.
- Contact
- A contact card (vCard) the phone offers to save.
- Email, phone, SMS
- Opens the matching app with the address, number or message filled in.
- Text
- Any text, up to about 2,900 characters. Shorter text makes a simpler code that scans more easily.
PNG or SVG?
PNG suits screens, documents and chat. SVG stays sharp at any size, so use it for print and signs. Keep the blank border around the code: scanners need it.
What is error correction?
Spare data that lets a code scan when part of it is dirty, torn or covered. Higher levels survive more damage but make a denser pattern. Medium suits most uses; choose High for codes printed small or placed outdoors.
Is anything uploaded?
No. Codes are created and read in your browser tab, pictures you choose stay on your device, and this page loads no ads.
