What this can and can’t tell you
It reads the traces editing tools leave inside a PDF: earlier versions kept by incremental saves, changes made after a digital signature, the software that last saved the file, dates that don’t add up, and fonts added later. When it shows an earlier version, that is the file’s own content before the change.
It can’t prove a document is genuine. Someone who re-creates or prints a document to a new PDF leaves none of these traces, and innocent actions like signing, filling in a form or compressing a file can show up as findings. For anything important, ask the issuer for a fresh copy or verify it with them directly.
