Which Markdown is this?

GitHub-flavoured Markdown, the version used on GitHub, GitLab and many documentation tools: standard Markdown plus tables, task lists, strikethrough and automatic links. Leave a blank line between paragraphs; a single line break is ignored unless you turn on “Keep single line breaks”.

Is the HTML safe to use?

The output is cleaned before it is shown or copied: scripts, event handlers, forms, frames and unsafe link addresses are removed, so Markdown from an untrusted source cannot run code here. Clean it again with your own tools if you publish it on a site that accepts content from other people.

What leaves my device?

Your text is never sent to a server and this page loads no ads. One thing to know: if your Markdown shows an image from the web, the preview fetches that image from its own address, as any web page would.
